Lefties This Way!
I was approached by a co-worker at Effort Trust today (who will remain anonymous) about a very special day coming up next week and was given some fun facts that I would love to share. Not a 'lefty' myself I only hope that I can relay her message to you the way she would want!
Did You Know…..my co-worker does….
Left handed people are thought to be "super geniuses" with the likes of Aristotle and Leonardo DaVinci of the past and Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs all in this club. I am told that Dr. Alan Searleman of St. Lawrence University in NY founded tests that have proven that "left handers tend to be considerably more intellectually gifted" and that a high percentage of 'lefties' have high IQ levels in the "genius" bracket. (Now I think she might be a little bias but I will take her word for it!)
Left-Handed Leaders have included Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Prince William; while left-handed musicians include Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Kurt Cobain and Annie Lennox to name just a few.
Well I think that I am convinced, a mere right-hander am I, going through life simply believing that there was no real merit to what hand a child picked up their pencils with once upon a time. If I had only chosen left that fateful day, perhaps I would see my name in lights with Rockefeller, Forbes and even Winfrey. But alas it is not meant to be. It's a right handed life for me!
So to those celebrating their intellectual greatness on August 13, CONGRATULATIONS! Have a wonderful 'backwards' day!
