The History of the Grey Cup
The first Grey Cup game was held on December 4, 1909 when the University of Toronto Varsity Blues defeated the Parkdale Canoe Club 26–6 before 3,800 fans. They retained the trophy in the following two years, defeating the Hamilton Tigers in 1910 and the Toronto Argonauts in 1911.

November is Movember

This year was an exceptionally outstanding year for Effort Trust in support of this event. This year was a milestone for the Heart and Stroke Foundation celebrating its 20th Anniversary.

Labour Day - What to Do?
While many now use the long weekend to squeeze in one last camping trip or to relax at the cottage. For others that means plenty of closed stores and the inevitable boredom of being stuck with nothing to do during the long weekend. Fear not! The good news is that restaurants and plenty of attractions will remain open and plenty of fun to be found.

The Winona Peach Festival kicks off this weekend! Ranked in the ‘Top 10′ must see festival in Ontario by Festival and Events Ontario, the popular festival is one of the largest free-admission family fairs in Ontario with events and displays for everyone! National Denim Day - Dress for the CURE - May 14th
In May 1997, the CURE Foundation inaugurated NATIONAL DENIM DAY as its main fundraiser. This event is held annually on the Tuesday following Mother's Day. For the past several years, Effort Trust and its employees have supported this incredible movement!
