Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

“[The] Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is a leading community–driven organization in Canada dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer. [Their] investments in innovative and relevant research and education have led to progress in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care. Since 1986, [they] have been at the forefront of a nationwide movement supporting and advocating for the breast cancer community”¹.

The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please join the many employees, friends and families of the Effort Trust Community in taking a moment to celebrate the lives of the beautiful souls this disease has taken from us and to applaud those who have conquered and survived. May their strength and courage show us that life is worth fighting for. In the month of October especially, let’s make an effort to assist those who need our help. If you are able to offer your time; go to your local Cancer Centre and volunteer. If you are able to offer your pocket book; make a donation (no matter how small) to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Wear pink with pride and show your support.

Every person counts. Every voice matters. Every dollar is important. You can make a difference in your own way.
